The Children of Slapton Pre-Preparatory school Slapton has been established for twenty years in this tiny village near Towcester.

We pride ourselves on our small classes (no more than twelve in each year group) which enable all our children to achieve their individual potential, join in with group activities safely and beneficially, but also to work on individual projects at their own level.

There are three classes in the school and each one is situated in a warm, light, well equipped classroom. The building itself is purpose built and attached to the main house on the site, which is owned and lived in by the headmistress and her family. The house is very important to the school, providing the children with a homely kitchen in which to eat and cook, as well as a lovely big room in which to learn the piano and recorder.

We provide the children with a proper home-cooked lunch every day, which we enjoy with them round the kitchen table in the house. Here we can reinforce good manners and encourage social conversation.

Our intention is to give the children an excellent academic start in life with a thorough grounding in the core curriculum, on which they will be able to build a successful and happy future school career. We want each child to be confident in their own ability and ready to face the challenge of their next school, wherever that may be, equipped with the relevant and required knowledge and skills.

We aim to keep them safe and healthy, to teach them to respect others and to value themselves in a friendly, safe and stimulating environment.
